Gallery2.py install procedure on Windows:

Get the software

1. Get Python from Python.org: Python 2.2.3 for Windows
2. Get Python Imaging Library from effbot.org: PIL 1.1.4 for Python 2.2
3. Get the latest Gallery2.py: Gallery2.py installer

Install the software

1. Install Python by doubleclicking on the downloaded installer. It installs into C:\python22 by default
2. Install Python Imaging Library by double clicking the downloaded installer
3. Install gallery2 by double clicking the downloaded installer

Run Gallery2.py

In the Explorer doubleclick C:\python22\lib\site-packages\gallery\gallery2-win.py
